If the answer is no, it isn't used. We formulate with intention, precision, and transparency; balancing botanical heritage with modern safety science.
Every fragrance follows our standards for vegan formulation, cruelty-free development, skin-conscious design, and modern safety review. For us, luxury includes not only how a fragrance smells and wears, but also how thoughtfully it is made.
Ingredient Philosophy
We work within two clearly defined fragrance categories:
Plant-based
Composed entirely of ingredients derived from natural raw materials that meet ISO 9235 standards for natural aromatic substances. These compositions rely on essential oils, absolutes, resins, extracts, and naturally derived isolates.
Plant-Inspired
Blends plant-derived materials with select safety-vetted aroma synthetics (nature-identical aroma molecules) when they improve stability, structure, or longevity. These materials are chosen for performance, safety profile, and regulatory clarity.
Both categories follow the same exclusion standards below.
We Do Not Formulate With
Phthalates • lilial • parabens • BHT • BHA • formaldehyde or formaldehyde-releasing agents • PEGs • PFAS • CMR substances • PBT substances • synthetic UV filters (including oxybenzone, benzophenone-3, octinoxate) • silicones (including dimethicone and related polymers) • nitro musks • polycyclic musks (including HHCB, AHTN) • petroleum-based diluents (including DPG)
We avoid materials associated with endocrine disruption, bioaccumulation, or unnecessary environmental persistence based on current regulatory and toxicological review.
Regulatory & Safety Framework
All fragrances are formulated in accordance with IFRA standards and evaluated against current U.S. and EU regulatory guidance.
All materials are supported by documented toxicological and safety data.
Compositions are developed within established dermal safety limits for their intended use.
Alcohol & Solvent Standards
We use organic sugar-cane derived alcohol as our primary solvent.
When structure or longevity requires a fixative, we use plant-derived triethyl citrate. We do not use petroleum-derived diluents.
Skin Consideration
Fragrance lives on the skin.
We build compositions that evolve with body chemistry rather than overwhelm it — limiting unnecessary allergen stacking and avoiding materials known for heightened sensitization risk where safer alternatives exist.
Environmental Consideration
We avoid ingredients known for high environmental persistence or aquatic toxicity where safer alternatives exist.
Materials are selected not only for scent profile, but for environmental profile.
Transparency
We believe customers deserve clarity. While fragrance formulas remain proprietary creative works, our standards do not.
